Ophthalmic Surgeon Zois Papadopoulos graduated with honors from the 1st Lyceum of the American College of Anatolia in Thessaloniki and was admitted after pan-Hellenic examinations with 3rd highest exam score among passing candidates in the Medical School of the Democritus University of Thrace.
After completing his ophthalmology education at the University Hospital of Alexandroupolis, he moved to London, Great Britain in 2017, where he completed his Master of Science in Clinical Ophthalmology at the world-renowned University College London (UCL) and specialized in Macular Diseases and Electrophysiology of Vision at Moorfields Eye Hospital in London.
The following year, he continued his education in the United States, specifically at Harvard Medical School of Harvard University in Boston, and further specialized in treating retinal disease as a Clinical-Research Fellow. At Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary Hospital, one of the best Eye Hospitals in the United States, he was trained by the world's leading Professor Demetrios G. Vavvas, known for his contribution to the development of retinal surgery.
In 2019 he returned to Greece and specialized for 6 months in Ophthalmic Ultrasound at the 2nd Department of “Ophthalmiatreio” Eye hospital of Athens, one of the most well-equipped and technologically advanced hospitals in capital city.
He also holds the European Council of Ophthalmology (FEBO) Diploma after successful examinations in 2018 in Paris and since 2019 he is PhD candidate in Medicine at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki on the subject: “Τhe effect of antioxidant supplements on aqueous humor inflammatory biomarker levels of patients with age-related macular degeneration”
Since September 2020, he has been operating a state-of-the-art ophthalmology clinic with cutting-edge examination equipment in the heart of Alexandroupolis on 35-37 Venizelou Street.
